Acting Class structure is as follows with 2 sessions a week:
Week 1: Scene Analysis. You will be taught the essentials of analyzing story. How to break down each scene down to it's three act structure. How to identify character objectives and their arc throughout the story. These are all crucial pieces of information that you will need in order to move on to proceeding weeks. Then learn to properly memorize your scene. Week 2: Emotional Preparation. You will be taught relaxation exercises in order to open up your centre and access your emotions. You will then learn to identify the emotional core and truth of your characters in order to authentically inhabit them. We do not fake, we get real. Week 3: Focus. You will be taught focus exercises in order for you to get out of your own head and learn to affect your scene partner or audience. You will learn to identify the actions of the character so you can take them through their journey and consequently the audience as well. Week 4: You will learn how to fuse together the teachings of weeks 1, 2 and 3 in order to put together a performance which we will film so that it could be used as promotional material for you personally and for the school. |
